Exploring EBMY Farm & Their Upcoming Festivities

Are you looking for summer activities, workshops, or events? Do you enjoy creating, relaxing, or eating?

EBMY Farm just outside of the city is offering some fun activities this summer from ceramic hand building, flower arranging, and brunches. After my conversation with owner and artist, Paige Young, I gained some insights to the excitement happening this summer and where her passion comes from.

Over the years, Paige has developed numerous interests in creating. She grew up on and around EBMY Farm when the farm had crops like apple trees. She would help sell apples and do basic work around the farm. When Paige had the opportunity to participate in an exchange program overseas, she jumped on the chance. Due to language barriers, the easiest form of communication was art. While aboard, Paige developed her love for drawing.

Fast forward, Paige went to Florida for college and studied marine biology. She worked in horticulture for over 10 years studying plants and trees. Although she was doing work that she loved, she still had an interest in art and creation. During this time, she started taking pottery classes at the local community center.

As life changed, Paige’s location did too. In the 2010s, Paige moved to Charleston, South Carolina, where she went to school for pastry art, allowing her to open her own bakery for several years. In 2017, fate seemed to be calling her back to the family farm.

Named after the farm’s owners, Paige’s grandfather (Eddington), her father (Boehlke), her mother (Miller), and now the Youngs. EBMY Farm was established with the hopes to eventually blend all of Paige’s passions for flowers, culinary arts, and visual art. In 2023, the dreams started to come to fruition with the opening of Duck-A-Roo Studio, an art space and store to sell jams, jellies, and chutneys. And now in 2024, Paige is launching classes such as ceramic hand building, gourd art crafting, egg painting. Among other opportunities to experience the farm including Sunday Sounds & Scape Concert, Brunch & Bunch event with you pick flowers, and classes to build floral centerpieces.

EBMY Farm is becoming a hub for activities this summer and you won’t want to miss out. Check out the full schedule of events on their website at https://ebmyfarm.com/gallery/, registration required prior to most events.
