Showcasing entertainment by local Albion and Marshall musicians of all ages, art, and the short documentary film “A Common Thread,” this celebration is one for our two great communities, by our two great communities.
“A Common Thread” will feature the stories of Albion and Marshall residents, the many great conversations that occurred between them and our moderator, Roger Bonair-Agard, and each other. (some of which were featured throughout the “AMRCP Clips” on our website – AMRCP.org – and social media accounts). It will also touch on the past, present, and desired future for each community, and the many perceptions and realities that exist between each.
The event will also feature a live jam between Albion and Marshall residents to kick-off the fun (starting at 6:30), heartfelt introductions from Roger and AMRCP Project Coordinator, Linda LaNoue (starting at 7:00), and additional music and dance performances before the premiere of the film. Following the mini-doc, there will be a panel discussion and an opportunity for the audience to ask questions and share their thoughts.
Art will be ever-present at this FREE celebration, as it is one of the many common threads that connect us. What’s your common thread?!
