This coming Sunday, the 29th, is the annual Sweets on Superior Street will be kicking off the Halloween festivities in Albion. Sweets on Superior Street is a free trick or treating event that happens right downtown Albion. Different organizations and groups set up tables and décor to pass out treats. This year’s theme is Halloweentown, encouraging organizations to pass out candy and decorate their tables inspired by the film series Halloweentown. Something a bit different this year is that Superior Street will be closed, making it safer for participants of the event.
Sweets on Superior Street always brings a crowd. It is so fun to feel the true sense of community that Albion has as we gather to make Halloween a special and safe time for the youth. The kids love it as they walk by with a grin on their face and bags overflowing with goodies, and the organizations love seeing all the creative costumes and all the people the event brings out.
Rain or shine, Sweets on Superior Street will happen the 29th from 1-3PM, you won’t want to miss out on seeing some great tables and excited families.
