Growth in downtown Albion comes in various facets. When building renovations, sidewalk replacements, and landscape adjustments occur, it can be very visible. But sometimes not so visible is the work happening inside our offices, businesses, and restaurants to expand our local teams!
One new face impacting the workforce in downtown Albion is Michelle Owens-Koeppen. Based out of the BOB (Big Old Bank) at 207 South Superior Street, Owens-Koeppen is the Operations Manager of the OMNI Family Office, taking on a multifaceted, operations-focused role helping the 45+ businesses and entities over a multitude of industries, run stronger.
This could be smaller aspects such reconciliations of monthly expenses or larger system developments to stream effective workflow. She creates timelines for work deadlines, creates centralized processes, and manages logistics so when someone new steps into an existing role, they don’t have to start from scratch. Owens-Koeppen explained that her role assists the various businesses in “manufacturing capacity”.

A little bit about Michelle Owens-Koeppen.
Owens-Koeppen has a manufacturing background with office management and business systems, so she has a good eye for processes and problem-solving plus several years of experience working behind the scenes at Albion College, supporting the leaders working directly with the students. Owens-Koeppen has been a part of the Albion community her whole life. She is a graduate of Albion High School and Albion College and is currently an active member in the Caring Community Church. One aspect about Albion that Owens-Koeppen loves is the welcoming and resilient atmosphere of the community.
