Move Your Body at Influence Studio

Kristy Clement is bringing movement and dance back to the Albion community with new non-profit – Fluence Arts Organization! Established is 2024 with the goal of developing dance and high-quality performing arts experiences in Albion, Fluence Arts has recently opened their doors to a new studio space located in Tennant Hall – Influence Studio.

Starting with modern dance, Clement’s first focus with Influence Studio is on movement with teens and adults with any “body” for wellness and alignment. From here, her goal is to gain more professional dancers and instructors to teach classes like tap, ballroom, and ballet, and expand the age range. The offerings of Influence Studios are meant for anyone!

About the Artistic Director

Kristy Clement’s connection with Albion started in college. She attended Albion College where she received her Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in Dance. For many years she worked with Missy Wyss, Albion local and founder of the Albion College Dance Program. Continuing her education pulled Clement away from Albion, but she always found herself coming back. She graduated from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio with a Master of Fine Arts degree in Contemporary Dance.

Passionate about choreography, Clement has worked with the Albion College Theatre Department for the past few musicals and excited to provide dance opportunities to the community. Clement has now settled in Albion and is proud to call it home.
