“Any day I come into work, I get to play all day!”
Nick VanAcker has plenty of excitement in his role as the Director of Outreach at Kids ‘N” Stuff Children’s Museum. Originally from Lansing, VanAcker’s passion for education and play started at a young age with his love for zoos, museums, and hands on-experiences. As he got older, VanAcker continued this love by attending Michigan State University with his eyes set on a degree in Zoology and Museum Studies. From there, VanAcker worked in different spaces from the Potter Park Zoo to the Michigan History Museum until it was time for a change.
About a year and half ago, a position at Kids ‘N’ Stuff opened up, and it was like the stars aligned for VanAcker. Now, he gets to combine is love for zoology, education, and play all in the same space.
