Albion Community Foundation Celebrates Two Grant Rounds!



The Albion Community Foundation has completed two of their three 2024 grant rounds, impacting several community organizations. Over the two rounds, the Foundation has awarded over $70,000!The Albion Community Foundation is dedicated to building community focused capital that serves community needs. They focus on three central tenets: community improvement, cultural heritage, and youth development. This is done through grantmaking to non-profit organizations. Youth Advisory Committee Fund

This fund supports local youth needs and youth development in the local community. The Youth Advisory Committee advises the Board of Trustees concerning grantmaking from the fund, providing young people with a hands-on philanthropic experience.

The purpose of the fund is to celebrate the life of James C. Kingsley, husband, father, grandfather, friend, and the longest serving judge on the Calhoun County, Michigan Circuit Court bench. As a result of Jim’s lifelong commitment to justice and community service, and his love of Albion, this fund is established to meet local youth needs and encourage youth development in the community of Albion and its surrounds.

The primary purpose of this fund is to support youth education opportunities designed to benefit groups, not individuals. Youth Enrichment Opportunities designed to challenge, build, grow, and otherwise continue to stimulate and improve participants after the initial program is complete. Additionally, the fund may support various cultural, educational, recreational or environmental programs.
