Vietnamese-American Experiences – Public Lecture

Cartoonist Thi Bui will discuss her award-winning graphic memoir, “The Best We Could Do,” which explores the anguish of immigration and the lasting effects that displacement has on a child and her family. Bui’s memoir chronicles her family’s daring escape after the fall of South Vietnam in the 1970s, and the difficulties they faced building new lives for themselves.

This lecture is a part of the Albion College Common Reading Experience for the 2019-2020 school year.
