Make an Impact with Albion YAC

The Albion Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) is looking for Albion area 7th – 12th grade students who are excited to make an impact on the Albion community! YAC has three pillars of work – grant making, community service, and fundraising. Throughout their time on the committee, students learn how to read grants submitted to the Youth Fund at the Albion Community Foundation and make recommendations who they want to fund.  Students get to decide how they’d like to see money spent in their own community!

Throughout the years, YAC has support programs like Play Right Sports Academy, Kids ‘N’ Stuff Children’s Museum, INNOVATE Albion, and so much more. For the past two years, YAC has held a fundraiser dunk tank booth at the Festival of the Forks, providing a fun activity during the celebration and connecting with the Albion.

The program is free and open to any Albion resident students (from any school district) and Marshall Public School students, grades 7th – 12th and meets about once a month. Mark your calendars! On Sunday, January 25th at 12PM, YAC will be hosting a recruitment event for any interested students, to location to be determined.
