Meet Lynne Sellers, owner of Up & Up Upholstery in downtown Albion! Up & Up opened in early 2024 with the goal of offering a new local service to Albion residents. As Sellers explained, upholstery is the process of taking your solid frame of furniture and making it into something you fully love. Sellers does this work through taking the structure of older furniture and adding new fabric, adjusting coils, putting in new foam, all to create a new product that will last.
With the price of new furniture and the quality, Sellers found herself with a new passion, and about 10 years ago Sellers began rehabbing her own furniture. She always had an interest in learning how things are made by taking it apart and putting it back together. From there, Sellers took classes in Ann Arbor and continued her work throughout the pandemic.
Now, Sellers services are available at a store front! Through a lot of labor and materials, Sellers is here to bring life back to your old furniture. Her favorite part of her work is bringing someone’s vision to life. Currently, Up & Up Upholstery is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 9AM – 2PM, Wednesday 9AM – 1PM, and appointments on the weekends.
