Meet the Fuentes, the owners of Honey P’s Flower Farm! Named after their daughter Penelope, Nathan and Audra Fuentes started their flower farm this year with the vision of adding something new to the community of Albion.
Located at their fourth generation family farm off of 28 ½ mile road in Albion, Michigan, this hidden gem is a breathe taking sight. The gardens themselves are tucked away upon the hill of their farm. Once you get up the hill, there are rows and rows of gorgeous flowers.
Farming isn’t new to the Fuentes family. For the past four years, they have grown pumpkins in a small patch for their son, Max. This year, the traditional pumpkins continue. Prior to the flowers, they tried their hand at hops. They switched paths to flowers partly due to the amount of labor of hops, not that flowers are necessarily easier. So far, Honey P’s has been successful in their flower ventures with over 100 types of dahlias, an array of zinnias, celosia, and sunflowers. Offering u-pick opportunities, prearranged bouquets, and popping up at local markets, their beautiful flowers are brightening countless people’s days.
