A Night at the Opera with Ikpemesi Ogundare

We are excited to invite you to a unique and intimate experience in our taproom as we present A Night at the Opera. Ikpemesi Ogundare will be performing and speaking about 4 sets that she will perform during dinner on Thursday, October 24th.

Ikpemesi is a Senior Vocal Performance Major at Albion College where she has been training in Opera for four years. This summer she was accepted into the world renowned Opera training program at the American Institute of Musical Studies (AIMS). She spent 6 weeks in Graz, Austria training under Professor Alison Acord and Christina Haan from Miami University in Ohio. She participated in a master class led by Helene Schneiderman and received private coaching from the polish soprano Ewa Iżykowska, and study in French, Italian and German diction.

Over the past 4 years, Ikpemesi has studied under Dr. Maureen Balke. She will be performing alongside Nicholas Laban who has been her private coach during this time.

While all are welcome to attend this performance, we are asking for a minimum suggested donation of $10 to support application, travel and audition fees that Ikpemesi will incur this fall as she pursues international graduate study to further her career in opera.
